We have cooking classes/luncheons on second Saturdays. Come to the class with a big appetite and enjoy the very wide range of Indian dishes - soups, snacks, flat breads, rice breads, curries, and puddings. You'll also learn to cook 3 to 4 dishes. The class starts at 10:30, and ends around 1:30. Please email vi@kolam.info to register. Mail a check for $ 30 to reserve. If you are coming from Lihue: for Kalihiwai Ridge on right side of Kahiliholo Road. Also it's the first left turn after Kilauea, and you'll see a road sign indicating that there's a left turn, as well as a 50 mile speed limit sign on the right). If you missed this turn, you'll go on the bridge toward that there's a left turn, as well as a 50 mile speed limit sign on the right). If you missed this turn, you'll go on the bridge toward Princeville/Hanalei. Take a U turn and come back. Princeville/Hanalei. Take a U turn and come back. Drive for 3 1/2 miles on Kahiliholo Road and the road ends in a cul-de-sac. On the left, close to the end (before 100 feet), you'll see mail boxes for 6213-A, 6213-B and so on. Take the immediate left after the mailboxes (where you see a green sign for 6213), and then take the second right in about 300 feet or so. The first gate is always closed. You'll see 'the Herberts' sign at the secpnd gate which is our place. If you are coming from Princeville: Go toward Kilauea. We are before Kilauea town. Pass the bridge and take the first RIGHT turn after that. (We are at least a mile before Banana Joes and Kilauea town) Drive for 3 1/2 miles on Kahiliholo Road where the road ends in a cul-de-sac. On the left close to the end, you'll see mail boxes for 6213-A, 6213-B and so on. Take the immediate left after the mailboxes and then take the second gate right in about 300 feet or so. The first gate will always be closed. You'll see the sign 'Herberts' on the second gate. |
