Some Oracle employees at their Denver facility had a luncheon and collected money for our charity.

Many donors chose to donate to us in lieu of Christmas gifts for their friends.

We thank all our donors for their generosity, and want them to know that 100% of their money is being spent
for the benefit of the poor.

Kolam: The art of drawing with dots, curves and lines.

It is done near the front entry of the home every morning with rice flour. The purpose of this art is to feed the
ants and insects.  The Tamil people have done it for at least two thousand years.

The Kolam art is done by women in the family, and is passed on from mother to daughter, and there are very
few published books to teach this art. A few ladies clubs have compiled lists of kolams.  Girls learn to make
the kolams at a very young age. Rice flour is trickled between the thumb and index finger in a steady stream
and the designs are created.

Each family has its own collection of Kolams that are recorded in notebooks. Friends share kolams with
each other.
